LOGLINE: A young couple, tired of society’s divisions and tech-addiction, embarks upon an analog journey down Route 66 in search of authentic human connection, and themselves.

THE ROUTE is a story of connection – with fellow humans, with our surroundings, and with ourselves – told through an analog journey down the Mother Road and the stories of its communities. The couple, raised in the era of phone-based childhoods, searches for presence of mind and a respite from the constant competition for attention of our hyper-connected and increasingly divided society. Will they be able to find it, or has the power of 5G and Tik-Tok permanently changed society’s collective habits, leaving true digital disconnection unattainable?

THE ROUTE, an impressionistic feature-length documentary, is presently in the research & development stage with principal production slated to begin in late 2024.
