At a dusty desert drive-in, a weary teenager, and a steadfast theater owner share parallel reflections on nostalgia, technology, and the fading glow of stories told under the California stars.

The Skyline drifts between memory and observation, layering sound and image into a cinematic portrait of a place suspended between decline and resilience. Beneath the dancing light of the projector’s beam, the film asks what is preserved when old and new ways of experiencing stories collide, and whether nostalgia can outlast the distractions of the digital age.

The Skyline, a documentary short, was completed in November 2025 and is currently screening at film festivals.
