Going Home Pictures produces content for the nonprofit organization TEAM RUBICON as head of their media outreach. Team Rubicon bridges the critical time gap between large natural disasters and conventional aid response by providing vanguard medical care and relief by fielding small, self-sustaining, mobile teams of specially skilled first-responders.
Recently we deployed to tornado-stricken Joplin, MO less than two days after the disaster. This video (the third of 3 produced on location) was produced in honor of the Memorial Day weekend that was upon us. As part of the media strategy the videos were uploaded to the Team Rubicon YouTube & Vimeo Channels, as well as their blog and Facebook page to keep donors engaged and up-to-date with the ongoing efforts of the organization as they happened.
In addition, TEAM RUBICON first approached us to edit hours of amateur footage from their first mission - the 2010 Haiti Earthquake. They had hours of compelling video of their medical aid response to the devastation and suffering. Going Home Pictures compiled the amateur footage to make a promo-doc to screen at fundraisers and to integrate in their effective web presence. You can find out more about their efforts and their new Team Rubicon Transition program for veterans here.
